What is Mobile Backup?

Mobile Backup for Value Pack customers is a software application that automatically and securely syncs all of your mobile contact information to the web – no data cables required. The mobilebackup.rogers.com website allows you to view, edit, print and import contacts.

Standalone Mobile Backup backs up contacts and user-generated content so all the personal audio, photos, and videos stored on your phone are protected and available via the web at mobilebackup.rogers.com as well as your contacts.  Standalone Mobile Backup costs $5 a month and is not included with Value Packs.

Why is the initial backup taking so long to complete?

Depending on how much data you have stored on your phone, the backup time can range dramatically (Couple of minutes to a few hours).  If you have numerous photos and videos stored, they can take a long time to upload to the server.  If you have a lot of content to back up, we suggest running the initial backup when you know you won’t be using your phone for a long time.
